The Joint Training Simulation and Analysis Center (JTSAC) is a part of the Department: Scalable Algorithms and Cybersecurity with HPC Center (resulting from the transformation of Information Technologies for Security Department) of the Institute of Information & Communication Technologies, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

   The center is combining both research & educational efforts in a sustainable knowledge capacity throughout a proven expert team with a valuable partner support. Being at the rise of a transcending global digitalization, JTSAC aims to provide an adequate coping of the modern security threats and challenges socio-technological hybridization for the Integrated Security Sector needs. An appropriate added value in this context is the combination of human & technological evolutionary knowledge for the 21 century comprehensive security establishment.

  Special accent is given to a creative research and training in the fields of: cybersecurity, crisis & emergency management, defence planning & assessment, future threats analysis, modelling and forecasting, human factor response psycho-physiological monitoring and stimulation, distributed CAX in mixed cyber-physical realities.

Zlatogor Minchev is the founder and president of the Secure Digital Future 21 expert forum (since 2017). An “Associate Professor” on “Automation & Control” at the Institute of ICT, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (since 2010); Part-time “Associate Professor” (2011) at Operations Research, Probabilities & Statistics Department, Institute of Mathematics & Informatics Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. IT for Security Department Head (2016-2025) presently transformed into Scalable Algorithms and Cybersecurity Department with HPC Center; Holds a PhD degree on Cybernetics & Robotics. Director of Joint Training Simulation & Analysis Center (since 2007), organizing and conducting research in the fields of: cybersecurity, crisis & emergency management, defence planning & assessment. Special accent is also given to: future threats analysis, modelling and forecasting; human factor response psycho-physiological monitoring and stimulation; Distributed CAX in mixed cyber-physical realities. For his twenty years research carrier, Dr. Minchev is an author and co-author of plenty scientific publications; successful participant in numerous scientific projects with national & international funding on expert and managing positions. Visiting professor on cybersecurity for: Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski”, Gelişim Üniversitesi, İstanbul; multiaspect security problems: University of National & World Economy – Sofia, George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies. Honourable member of e-Sigurnost Association (2017) & Association of the Officers in the Reserve “Atlantic” (2010), elected for Deputy Chairman (2025). Awarded and distinguished with numerous prestigious national and international awards. Well-known and publicly recognized expert on security & cybersecurity issues.
   

Yulian Hristov is a Researcher and Assistant Professor at Institute of ICT, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. A longstanding journalist with nearly 20 years of experience, he focuses his work on the development of new technologies in the field of media, the development of the media of the future, and possible forms and technical solutions to solve the problems of disinformation and fake news. A co-author of the article “Future Media Security Transformation in the Digital Age” and author of “Fake News” Disruption in the Digital Age from the book Future Digital Society Resilience in the Informational Age. He is also the author of a number of media analyses and articles discussing the topic of security and defense.

   
 

Stefan Tafkov is a young researcher in the field of cybersecurity and digital forensics. Holds a MSc degree on “Software Technologies” with specialization in AI from Plovdiv University “Paisii Hilendarski” where he is now also an invited lecturer on the problems of cybersecurity. Assist. Tafkov is presently doing his PhD thesis work in the field of Artificial Intelligence application for ransomware smart development & protection at Scalable Algorithms & Cybersecurity, Institute of ICT, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Longstanding junior collaborator of Joint Training Simulation & Analysis Center, Institute of ICT, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Entrepreneur in the computer & network security area. Founder and president of Xentix Technology Ltd. Author & co-author of several scientific papers in the field of cybersecurity. Holds various national & international distinguishes and awards for his achievements.

   
Nataliya Ivanova is a security expert at Joint Training Simulation & Analysis Center, Scalable Algorithms and Cybersecurity Department with HPC Center at the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Assists in the development, and maintenance of research concepts & reports. Participates in the organization of conferences, meetings, preparation of annual reports, reports and other administrative activities. Mrs. Ivanova has a longstanding security experience within state bodies & above 10-years academic background. She has graduated linguistics & philology from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".
   
Liliya Georgieva is a technical assistant at  Joint Training Simulation & Analysis Center, Scalable Algorithms and Cybersecurity Department with HPC Center at the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Assists in the development and maintenance of research knowledge databases. Participates in the organization of conferences, meetings, preparation of annual reports, reports and other administrative activities. Mrs. Georgieva has successfully participated in many research projects as administrator. She has graduated Economics of Transport from UNWE "Management and Transport Business".
 
 
Stayka Angelova is a graphic & pre-press designer at Joint Training Simulation & Analysis Center, Scalable Algorithms and Cybersecurity Department with HPC Center at the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.  Provides IT and administrative support. Participates in the organization of conferences, meetings, preparation of annual reports, reports and other administrative activities. Eng. Angelova has successfully participated in many research projects & studies. She has graduated  "Technology and Organization of Road Transport" from Technical University - Sofia.
